You must change the camshaft too, using hydraulic lifters with a solid cam will destroy both in a very short time. A K(20S/N) or D(19SH) cam should work nicely in a 17S. The main benefit with a hydraulic cam is that you don't need to adjust the valves anymore. And it might be a tad quieter than a so...

Bräuchtest du Infos dazu ? 2.8er mit 2 Inats und 3 Gang Automatik Beste Grüße 2,8HL? Ne, eigentlich nur zum HC Motor! Hab jetzt irgendwo gelesen dass es den 2,8HC auch mit einem Zenith gab! Glaub im Commo B mit 130Ps! Yes, but then it's not a 28HC anymore, the one carb version is a 28SC. :mrgreen:

The C stands for Commodore as the motor is from a Commodore B, and the * says that it is the 140ps version from -75 and up.

Doesn't the TÜV guy know that the 2,8 liter short blocks are the same, and that it doesn't matter if it is stamped with an E, H or S ? Change the H stamping to an S and tell him that it is a single Solex carb equipped 125PS 28S motor from a Kapitän A. :mrgreen:

The B cam was also used in the Commodore C 25S engines. At least both of my C 25S motors had B cams in them.

The Rekord C Sprint engine is not the same as the 19SH from a Rekord D. The 19SH has hydraulic lifters vs mechanical ones in the Sprint. A Rekord D oil pan doesn't fit in a Rekord C because it has the sump in front, a C pan has the sump in the middle. You must use the Rekord C oil pan and pick-up tube.
