Why bother changing the head if it is ok? According to the Werkstatt handbuch, they have the same size valves and the same camshaft. As a small bonus you will get a little bit more compression( about 9,7:1 if the head has the std height) with the 17S head.

I think the C26NE is a great engine , especially when the engines still are cheap to buy. Allthough I´m considering building a C30NE block topped with a massaged 25SB head and a 4bbl Holley 390CFM carb for my own project. A lerge part of the fun is doing something different.

The plastic cup is from a Vectra B with a X20XEV engine but i belive cups from other gasoline models can be used as well.
