I think the C26NE is a great engine , especially when the engines still are cheap to buy. Allthough I´m considering building a C30NE block topped with a massaged 25SB head and a 4bbl Holley 390CFM carb for my own project. A lerge part of the fun is doing something different.

Back to the fuel pump issue... Where is the pump placed on a GSe commo ? I am thinking about placing it right next to the tank, under the car, above the HA somewhere ? The plastic cup is from a Vectra B with a X20XEV engine but i belive cups from other gasoline models can be used as well.

You have to move the shifter forward when you convert to a 240 or R25 etc gearbox, because otherwise you would have to make a new hole farther back in the transmission tunnel if the shifter stays in the 240/R25:s original position. I believe that the 4-speed gearbox is the largest weakness when upgrading to a more powerful engine, so it is not wrong to upgrade to at least a Getrag 240.

Hard to say anything for sure when I don´t know your rules in Denmark, but a C26NE is rated at 150hp, the same as a std Commodore A GS/E, so if you upgrade the brakes to the A GS/E:s specs it should be enough to satisfy the Danish TüV equivalent.
