Tut mir jedenfalls wirklich leid. Da hat sich jemand so ein tolles Auto gebaut und auf der Zielgeraden so einen Scheiss. Braucht niemand!

The head won't be taken off. Already ordered the tool to disassemble the valve springs. We have access to the original tool to screw on the spark plug thread and secure the valve from inside

Gut. Schaue dir die Einlassventil Dichtungen an. Wenn die komplett schwarz und aus Gummi sind, würde ich die gleich nochmal mit raus schmeißen. Gute haben eine Stahlumantelung...

Wenn ihr mit Druckluft das Ventil sichert, stell sicher, das sich der Motor nicht drehen kann. 8 bar reichen dicke um den Kolben nach unten zu drücken...

Mine is an early 67 head. It uses the red orings in all valves. No stem seals below on the valve guide

Ah okay. Dann haben die frühen überall die Kappen drauf und später dann nur noch Auslass. Ganz später dann bestimmt komplett weg...

The Topend of the valvestem looks damaged to me, like mangled with a Hammer. I believe that this Surfacequality will damage the new Rockers. on the second picture you posted it looks like the hardened plate which is soldered on the Valve is about to leave the valvestem. If that plate drops it will shure crash something.

This makes me remember when I replaced my Discovery 2 Td5 head for a brand new AMC head. When I took photos it looked like it was trash damm camera phones...

OK guys...
Im trying to reassemble the valve springs in the correct position without removing the head. I was sucessful in number 1,2 and 8.currently trying 7. I'm using "old tech" in order to secure the valve in place while compressing the valve. I'm using a piece of string and let the piston make pressure on the valve while squashing the string. Thing is the machine shop compressed the spring so much that even with the tool to compress the valve, it's very hard to loosen the 2 half spring retainers... I'm already using a spacer between the valve tool and the spring just to make enough travel and pressure. Any alternative ideas? I know that there was a tool to screw in the sparkplug hole and secure the valves but I can't find anything similar. I think that the string inside the cylinder isn't enough to make the valve lift to the maximum. I'm devastated with this...

Trotz meinem relativ guten Englisch, verstehe ich nicht, wie du das Ventil sicherst. Hast du Bilder von deinen Arbeitsschritten? Wie sieht dein Werkzeug für die Ventilfeder aus? Es gibt mehrere Werkzeuge dafür. Nicht alle funktionieren gleich gut. Man kann sich auch einen "Kniehebel" bauen....

Sein Problem ist anscheinend, dass er versucht das Ventil auf den Kolben zu stellen und es damit oben zu halten.
Da der Abstand aber zu groß ist, bekommt er die Feder nicht weit genug gedrückt...
Er hat keinen Druckluftanschluss...

Mich würde wirklich noch das Werkzeug interessieren zum drücken der Feder...
